Recently, one of our clients in USA asked us to create a packaging design for their cocktail picks. There are 6 cock picks, which will be put inside a custom paper box<\/a> with a clear window on the top. Then the customers can see the beautiful cock picks directly through the PVC window. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paper Box Structure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We took 3 types of box structures into consideration when we tried to find a paper box style for the cock picks. They are the corrugated printed box<\/a>, rigid paper box<\/a> and folding paper box<\/a>. The lift off lid rigid box <\/a>and sliding rigid paper box<\/a> are both bespoke packaging, but the costs are high. While the corrugated printed box looks a little cheap. At last, we choose the folding paper box solution to create a sliding paper box. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sliding Paper Box<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The sliding paper box is actually a folding paper box with very intelligent strcture design. It works like a matchbox. It is usually made of 300-400gsm SBS C1S paperboard. Such a custom paper box is very cost effective and beautiful. However, it is time consuming to set up the box. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sliding paper box has a sleeve outside with the PVC window on the top to display the cock picks inside. Below the clear window is the branding name of the company. It has the glossy silver foil stamping finish<\/a>. On the back of the paper sleeve, the sparkling stars have the silver foil effect too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both the sleeve outside and the tray inside are made of the black specialty paperboard. The black color is more consistent than the black color printed on the white SBS paperboard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Fix the Cocktail Picks Inside the Insert<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The big problem for the packaging is to find a solution to fasten the cock picks securely inside the box without wiggling. The solution we get is a waved paperboard with crossing cuts in the middle, then the needles can come through. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
